MIAMI (AP) Dorrell Wright had the word ``Blessed’’ tattooed
down the outside of his right leg two weeks after the Miami Heat
drafted him, but he was even more excited when he learned he’ll
have the chance to play alongside Shaquille O’Neal. There’s no
hiding that the six-foot-seven swingman is still a kid, but on the
court, nobody remembers he’s just 18.
CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) Running backs Frank Gore and Tyrone
Moss deliver a unique doubly whammy for the Miami Hurricanes. Four
games into the season, the friendly competition between Gore and
Moss is in a virtual dead heat, which is why both should see plenty
of action Thursday night against number-18-ranked Louisville in
Miami.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) Florida coach Ron Zook is making a
change on special teams. The coach plans to have receiver Chad
Jackson returning punts against Middle Tennessee State on Saturday.
Jackson is replacing Vernell Brown, who has muffed several punts
this season.
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) In their first pre-season game of the
season, the Orlando Magic will host the Memphis Grizzlies tonight
at seven p-m. Small forward Grant Hill will make his first start in
an N-B-A game since January 2003. Hill sat out the last 20 months
after a fourth surgery on his left ankle.
