Chuck Henson, Real Time Traffic Reporter
Chuck is the Real Time Traffic & Transportation Reporter and fill-in News Anchor for Bay News 9. He is also the national "Voice" of Bands of America/Music for All, Inc, celebrating 25 years as the organization's Public Address Announcer (2013). Chuck is a proud 2012 Inductee into the Bands of America Hall of Fame in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Chuck was featured in the 2011 Winter/Spring issue of "Pete" Magazine and was named "Tampa Bay's Favorite TV Personality" in 2012 and 2010 by the readers of Watermark at the annual WAVE Awards and was a 2011 and 2010 WMNF Peace Award Nominee. In 2008 he was presented with a "Creative Catalyst" Award by Creative Tampa Bay, Inc
Chuck was a proud participant in the 2010 "Tampa Bay's Dancing with the Stars" Charity Event hosted by Julie Weintraub's Hands Across the Bay and was the 2011 St Petersburg AIDS Walk Grand Marshall.
Chuck's love for music and music education is prevalent in everything he does. He has emceed the annual Chicagoland Showcase (think, real-life's GLEE) for the past 17 years. As a product of his high school band/choral program and an alumnus of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps, Chuck works hard to promote and enhance the growth of music education.
Chuck is a graduate of the University of Kentucky School of Journalism, College of Communications and has been recognized by the State of Kentucky as a "Kentucky Colonel."
