Citrus County residents can help feed around 20 children in need.

Some of the children don't get to eat on the weekends and have to wait until they return to school on Monday.

The Kids Eat program wants to change that. The program is looking for volunteers to help sort, gather, deliver and provide donations.

The program is asking for pop-top, ready-to-eat foods like bottled water and other drinks, entrees, fruits like applesauce or raisins, snacks like crackers, Jell-O or pudding, canned meat or beans and breakfast items.

Items can be dropped off at the Yankeetown/Inglis Women's Club, which is located at 5 56th St. in Yankeetown, FL.
