Think your voting information is private? Think again.

The Hillsborough Republican Executive Committee just mailed out fliers to voters with names and addresses of neighbors showing if they had voted or not in the primary.

"I've never seen anything like this before,” said Jared White, a community member. “I don't think I need to know what my neighbors did."

In the text of the flier it says to follow up with your neighbors who didn't vote in the primary and to urge them to vote in this critical election.

"I think it's an invasion of privacy, I mean, I don't think it's anyone's business if you voted or not," said Diana Gonzalez, a community member.

"To me, to have somebody's name and their home address and everything else, I know a lot of it is public records, but needless to say I don't think we need to go to those extremes," said Jose Pena, a community member.

We reached out to the Republican Executive Committee and have not heard back. However, we found out its pretty east to get a list of voters information including their voting history.

All you have to do is go to your county Supervisor of Elections website or the Florida Division of Elections and request them. Legally they have to provide the information.

"I think the luxury we all have is the right to vote, but I think surely to protect people's privacy is very important to the individual, so I think we need to be a little bit sensitive," said Pena.

The Hillsborough County Supervisors of Elections Office says if you have concerns you should talk to your local lawmakers or the Hillsborough County Republican Executive Committee.
