Pinellas Park police have arrested a 37-year-old woman in a fatal hit-and-run crash.

According to police, Adelina Marie Mucciolo, of St. Petersburg was arrested Thursday and charged with leaving the scene of a traffic crash with a fatality.

Police said Raymond Gerald Johnson, 51, was killed just after 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 6500 block of 62nd Ave North. Investigators said a late model red Toyota sedan was seen in the area at the time of the crash.

On Thursday, investigators were able to make contact with Mucciolo.

Officials said she came to the police department office to be interviewed, after which she was arrested. Police said Mucciolo told them she left the scene after the crash because she was scared and was under the influence of alcohol and controlled substances.
