Two women who police say were drunk while crossing a Pinellas Park street, were struck by a van Saturday night.

According to police, the crash happened at 126th Avenue North and 66th St North just after 9:30 p.m. One of the women was killed. The other remains in critical condition at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

Dawn Marie Fattarusso, 40, of Clearwater was killed in the crash. Rosemary Stone, 55 of Pinellas Park was critically injured.

Police say the women were running from across the east side of 66th Street when they were hit by a 2002 Oldsmobile van traveling south on 66th Street. Police say Fattarusso and Stone were intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The van was driven by 58-year-old Tereza Allen of Largo. There were no passengers in the van and Allen was not injured.

The roadway was closed for five hours while the crash was investigated.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
