Visitors are making their way to the Bay area in record numbers - on both sides of the Bay.

According to county officials, the sandy white beaches of Pinellas County attracted a record number of tourists for a second year in a row.

The county has posted more than $33 million in bed tax revenue during this accounting year - $2 million more than last year.

That's thanks to more tourists like Judy Mead, who recently wrapped up a three-week vacation in Clearwater Beach.

"You couldn’t ask for better weather," Mead said. "There’s nothing bad about this place and we’ll continue to come back until we’re too old to fly down here."

Numbers are good in Hillsborough County as well, as officials said more than $23 million was collected.
