A third hole has opened up in Pasco County in less than a week, leaving residents in a Holiday neighborhood on edge.

The third hole that opened up isn’t being classified a “sinkhole” yet. It’s still considered a depression, but it’s about six feet deep and 10 feet wide. The depression was discovered Saturday morning in the 4900 block of Rosedale Lane just north of Bartelt Road.

"Well, they're just popping up all over the place," said Marian Kiker, who lives near the sinkholes. "So it's just normal anymore."

Pasco County officials say since it’s on private property, and it’s not threatening any homes or roads, it’s up to the homeowner to take care of.

The family who lives in the house where the hole opened up is renting, and the landlord put the members up at one of his other properties in the meantime.  They say they feel lucky it wasn’t worse.

“I was scared that I would sleep right through it,” said Nicole Timpe, who lives in the home.

The two sinkholes opened up on Tuesday and Wednesday at Holiday Travel Park, which isn’t very far from where the third hole opened. One of those sinkholes swallowed a car that was pulled out Friday.

Neighbors say they’re already planning for the worst, and they’ll be ready to go if need be.

"I'm kind of worried it might get bigger and want to open up over at my house. You know, it's hard telling," said Dustin Hopper.

Engineers are still working on stabilizing the ground at the two sinkholes.  There’s no word on when they’ll be filled.
