Hernando County deputies are looking for a man they said shot another man during an altercation Tuesday.
Deputies and fire/rescue personnel responded to the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Twigg Street in Brooksville regarding a shooting at approximately 3:09 p.m.
Deputies arrived to locate the victim, 44-year-old Emmanuel Mobley, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Detectives said Mobley was involved in an altercation with the suspect, 28-year-old Lenard White, Jr.
When the altercation turned physical, deputies said White ran to a nearby vehicle to retrieve a firearm.
Deputies said White chased Mobley a short distance and shot him. Mobley was treated for his injuries and released from the hospital.
An arrest warrant for attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a felon was issued for White.
