The owner of Connor Farm's Tropical Fish is bracing for colder weather overnight.

Tuesday, workers secured tarps over more than 200 tropical fish ponds. Overnight, the owner plans to monitor the water inside the ponds to make sure it doesn't get too cold.

The owner, Ron Connor, has been concerned about the colder weather this season.

"It's changing too rapidly," Connor said. "We're having 20 plus degree below normal temperatures. We had it a couple of weeks ago. Now, we're into it again. This early in the season it could represent some real problems."

Connor said he noticed some of his fish were acting differently from the cold a couple of weeks ago. He's just hoping it doesn't happen again.

Connor said his tropical fish can overcome the cold weather as long as the sun returns Wednesday.

But Connor said he will keep the tarps on the ponds until next April.
