An accidental cooking fire is being blamed for a fire that injured one person and destroyed a house in Hudson.

According to Pasco County officials, firefighters rseponded to a home in the 14600 block of Delbell Road in Hudson shortly before 6:30 p.m.

When they arrived, they found the large, two-story home well-involved in fire, with flames through the roof. A live power line was down on the ground, officials said.

Twenty-one firefighters from three fire stations battled the blaze for about five hours.  A tanker shuttle was brought in to fight the fire, as officials said there were no available hydrants in the area.

The occupant of the home sustained minor injuries in the fire and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. There is no word as to the occupant's current condition.

Officials said the home was ultimately a total loss. Investigators said the preliminary cause of the fire appears to be an accidental cooking fire.
