A fire tore through a duplex Thursday morning in north Tampa.
According to officials, the fire broke out just before 8 a.m. on Elmdale Place near Davis Road, near the University of South Florida campus.
The duplex was not occupied, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.
Authorities said there was no power on in the structure. No firefighters were injured in the fire, which burned through the structure's roof.
The fire is under investigation.
