Bradenton Beach officials have passed a new resolution that will restrict the sale of candy-flavored tobacco products within the city.

According to Bay News 9's partner paper the Bradenton Herald, officials passed Resolution Number 14-828, which also urges the Florida Legislature to adopt rules and regulations to control the sale and marketing of these products.

During a city commission meeting, students from Bayshore High School stood before the commission to voice their opinions.

The resolution has already been passed in Palmetto, Manatee County and Bradenton.
