A gas leak along U.S. 19 in Port Richey caused the southbound lanes to close and several evacuations in the area on Friday morning.
Officials said crews were repairing a leaking water line valve at 11832 U.S. 19, just south of State Road 52, when they hit the gas line around 10:17 a.m.
TECO is responding to the scene.
There are no injuries reported.
