A lot will happen with the weather over the next several days, and little of it will include sunshine until Thanksgiving Day.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Josh Linker, various dynamics will keep clouds and rain in the forecast through Wednesday. The highest rain chance will come Tuesday, when an approaching cold front will send the probability surging to 80 percent.

Today, a warm front pushing north will bring sporadic showers in from the Gulf of Mexico. It could also generate some strong storms in the northern counties overnight, but the rain chance will drop to 30 percent for tomorrow and Monday.

"On Tuesday, our rain chances are going to go way up, and after that, our temperatures are going to come way down," Linker said.

The cold front will drop afternoon highs from the upper 70s on Monday and Tuesday to the low 60s for Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day. The morning lows Thursday and Friday will be in the 40s around Tampa Bay and near freezing in the north counties.

"We'll have a fairly active weather pattern over the next few days," Linker said.
