Clearwater police are still looking for a hit-and-run driver that killed a 22-year-old man on Thursday.

Lori Leverock’s son, Martin Baltimore, was killed in the crash on Gulf to Bay in Clearwater.

"I can’t even put it into words," said Lori Leverock, Martin’s mother. "He’s my son, he’s my baby, he’s only 22 years old, that’s a whole life."

Leverock wants the person responsible to come forward.

"Please find it within your heart to come forward," Leverock said. "If this was your child or your brother, or your father, or your nephew, or your uncle, you would want someone to step up and take responsibility."

Clearwater police said someone driving a black car caused the collision when they turned left in front of Baltimore’s motorcycle.

Signs are up along Gulf to Bay asking for the public’s help in identifying the car or driver.

While police try to catch the person who hit and killed Baltimore, Lori will remember her precious trips to Disney with her son Marty.

She’ll remember his caring spirit, wishing she had more time to spend with him.

"Tell the people in your life that you love them and keep them close, cause you don’t know when there’s not a tomorrow."

Clearwater police do not know the make and model of the car in question. Anyone with info should call Clearwater police at (727) 562-4242 or by email at tips@myclearwater.com.
