With Thanksgiving just days away, former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Mike Alstott and his foundation are once again spreading holiday cheer.

Alstott, his wife Nicole and their three children visited more than two dozen Pinellas County fire and rescue stations, dropping off turkeys and more for crews scheduled to work Thanksgiving Day.

“Basically, it’s your traditional Thanksgiving  meal,” Nicole Alstott said. “It’s your Turkey, it’s you’re gravy, it’s your stuffing. It’s comfort food and it’s home.”

The Alstott’s said they wanted to let the fire fighters who will be on the clock during the holiday know they are appreciated by their community.

“They work so hard, and they put their lives on the line,” Mike Alstott said. “We just thought it was very, very necessary to say thank you.”

All together, the Mike Alstott Family Foundation provided 26 stations with meals for Thursday.
