A Bradenton man accused of killing his wife, a neighbor and a pastor has been indicted on first-degree murder charges.

A grand jury handed down three counts of first-degree murder against Andres Avalos Jr., 33, on Tuesday.

Investigators say Avalos fatally shot his wife, 33-year-old Amber, and their neighbor, 46-year-old Denise Potter, at the couple's home in Bradenton on Dec. 4.

Avalos then allegedly went to Bayshore Baptist Church, where investigators said Avalos shot and killed Rev. James "Tripp" Battle.

Avalos was arrested two days later at an area mobile home park. Prosecutors said Avalos confessed to investigators after he was arrested.

A grand jury indictment is required for prosecutors to seek the death penalty, but prosecutors have not said whether they'll pursue it in this case.
