A 30-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening in New Port Richey.
Shana Dorsey of New Port Richey was trying to cross the northbound lanes of U.S. 19 in the 5700 block at 7 p.m. when she was struck by 2008 Pontiac sport utility vehicle. She was not in a crosswalk, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said.
She was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, were she was pronounced dead just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.
The vehicle was driven by James Pacino of New Port Richey. He was not injured, and authorities said no charges will be filed.
