In case you noticed a lot of activity at the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport on Wednesday afternoon, it wasn’t an emergency.
A full scale emergency disaster drill was held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the airport.
The drill involved approximately 250 people.
Volunteers acted as crash victims, while personnel from the Airport Authority and participating agencies from both Sarasota and Manatee County conducted the tasks related to emergency response situations.
