An area of low pressure in the Gulf of Mexico will move toward Florida on Friday with higher rain chances.

Just a few scattered showers are expected this evening, then mild and breezy overnight.

“Friday will have a better chance of rain in the afternoon and evening but not an all-day rain,” said Bay News 9 Chief Meteorologist Mike Clay. “Some thunderstorms are possible but the threat of heavy rain and flooding should be just to our north. It will be breezy to windy through Saturday."

Rain chances are 80 percent Friday.

High temperatures will stay in the upper 70s during the next few afternoons with low temperatures in the 60s.

Rain chances will move out of the Bay area Saturday afternoon as low pressure moves east of the state, making for a dry and sunny Easter Sunday.
