The Pasco County Department of Health has expanded the boundaries for a recently issued rabies alert in the southeast part of the county.

The alert now includes the area west of County Road 535, south of Centennial Road, east of Glen River Road and north of Chancey Road.

A raccoon tested positive for rabies in the area.
