The next phase of U.S. 19 construction in Clearwater has brought some changes to the traffic patterns between Sunset Point Road and Countryside Boulevard.

As of Tuesday, access to all businesses on the west side of U.S. 19 between Sunset Point and Countryside is only possible from the newly constructed southbound frontage road.

Motorists are no longer able to turn from U.S. 19 directly into driveways or onto Enterprise road while traveling south.  Access to the southbound frontage road will be at the Evans Road and State Road 580 exits. Signs are in place to assist motorists with the change.

Local traffic is using the frontage roads to access businesses, while through traffic will remain on mainline U.S. 19. The new traffic pattern is consistent with previously constructed improvements along U.S. 19 further south.
