The Bay area's favorite manatee is celebrating his 66th birthday today.
That's right, Snooty is 66. He's the oldest known manatee in captivity.
A family-friendly, conservation-themed event is taking place today at the South Florida Museum in Bradenton. Organizers were expecting about 4,000 visitors.
Snooty spent his big day munching on lettuce, posing for photos and looking forward to his birthday cake of lettuce and vegetables.
