The group placed in charge of Pier redevelopment has completed its assignment.

According to partner newspaper the Tampa Bay Times, the Pier Working Group will determine what St. Petersburg residents want in from the Pier. The group is combing through information from hundreds of people who participated in five recent public-input sessions and an online survey.

The group will put together a report to suggest a list of amenities the public would like to see at the facility.

The final document will list specifics on observation and viewing areas, options for dining, transportation, cycling, jogging and walking paths and picnic areas, green space and flexible event space.

The 21-member group, appointed by Mayor Rick Kriseman, includes neighborhood leaders, lawyers, environmentalists and members of the business community.

The group's findings are expected within the next two weeks.
