Henry Wilson Jr. is running as a Republican for the District 4 seat on the Pasco County Commission.

1. Why are you running for this office?

The next few years will be a key time for the next growth period for Pasco County and Pasco needs to make sure that there is a proven conservative that will be on the Board looking out for them.

Additionally, I believe that the individual person needs a voice on the Pasco BCC and I am that person. I have been on the side of the citizens of Pasco with many votes, but primarily the Gas Tax and the proposed elevated toll road (both items I fought against).

I have been voting this way since I was elected in 2010 and will continue to be that person, if I am lucky enough to be re-elected.

2. Why do you think you are the best qualified candidate for the office?

I have a proven track record of listening to the people. As a leader on the Pasco BCC I have had to make the hard choices that were not always popular or on the winning side, but it was what I felt was the best for Pasco County as a whole.

Since being elected I have worked with and listened to the citizens to build relationships and win their trust in government back and will continue to do so by providing the best and highest level of customer service, while making sure our tax dollars that are spent as efficient as possible.

3. If you are elected, what will be your top priorities?

  • Continue to listen to the ideas and concerns of the citizens of Pasco County
  • Making sure Public Safety (Police and Fire) is appropriately funded
  • Making Pasco County business friendly by continuing to work with the small businesses and talk with the new businesses that want to move to Pasco County.
