Opening night at Raymond James Stadium brought in the fans to watch the first preseason home game Saturday night.

“I am a Bucs fan through and through," said Barbara Porter. "Gooooo Bucs!”

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers first road game was unsuccessful against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but with new coach Lovie Smith, fans are hoping that he will turn the game around.

“Yeah that is the kind of coach we need to bring our team back,” said Dean Kenyon.

The Bucs new brighter, bolder uniforms are getting a lot of attention and mixed reviews.

“I don’t like the jerseys, but I like their helmets,” said Preston Huether.

“I think it's great, I love the skull -- he looks a lot more, I would say, aggressive,” said Nicole Wright.

Another new addition that had fans talking was the $7 million upgrade to the concession area. Fans now have local flavors at Raymond James Stadium such as Cuban sandwiches made with bread baked from Ybor City.

“I got a Cuban," said Carl Harvey. "I walked around the whole place, it's really different.”

Mark Griffin likes all of the new dining options and thinks the upgrades were worth the cost.

“More choices, it tastes better," said Griffin. "Before it was always cold or blah.”
