The Bradenton Police Department was presented with two new protective vests for K-9 officers on Tuesday.

Ray Hubbert, President of the Retired Law Enforcement Association of Southwest Florida, presented the two K-9 Protective Ballistic Vests.

The vests will be worn by K-9 Mac and K-9 Riggs.

Officer Jason Taulbee is the assigned handler for K-9 Mac and Officer Matthew Palmer is the assigned handler for K-9 Riggs.

The Retired Law Enforcement Association of Southwest Florida raises funds through fundraisers, and by contributions from compassionate and caring citizens and businesses.

The association has donated over 39 vests, bullet and stab resistant, to over 14 law enforcement agencies.

The purchase of the vest was made possible by the donation of Ms. Leslie Hall and Mr. Henry Schneiderman who attended the presentation.
