The Clearwater Police Department deputy chief is resigning after four years with the agency.
Deputy Chief Sandra Wilson will step down next week. This comes just a month after Dan Slaughter became the new police chief.
He said he and Wilson discussed it and it was her decision to resign and that she leave on good terms.
Wilson was Clearwater's first female deputy chief. Her last day on the job is September 5.
