Tampa's new bicycle-sharing program is on track.

Crews with Coast Bike Share have delivered hundreds of the new blue bicycles to a warehouse in Tampa Heights.

Most of the bikes have been assembled and are awaiting testing. In the next few weeks, the bikes will be made available for riders in the downtown area, as well as Ybor City and Channelside.

Currently, racks are outside City Hall, Curtis Hixon Park and the downtown Tampa main library branch.

"We've got a couple weeks to build these bikes and test them out internally," said Eric Trull at Coast Bike Share. "Then we will be rolling them out to the streets and testing them there as well. Hopefully we will be up and running before too long."

Three hundred bicycles are in the warehouse.

The annual fee to rent one is about $79, that equals about 21 cents per day.

The program is expected to be up and running by the end of the month.
