Court documents released in the Hudson quadruple murder case may give a glimpse into some of the evidence authorities may have against suspect Adam Matos.

Matos, 28, has been indicted on four counts of first-degree murder in the killings that happened in early September. He is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend, Megan Brown, 27; her parents, Margaret and Greg Brown, both 52; and her new boyfriend, Nicholas Leonard, 37.

Their bodies were found in a field near the Brown home on Sept. 4. Matos was found at a Tampa hotel the next morning with his 4-year-old son.

Court documents released say a sheriff's office dive team recovered several weapons from a nearby pond, including eight guns, two knives, a hammer and a cell phone.

According to the search warrant, dive teams found a pistol and seven rifles, as well as ammunition cartridges, when they searched the creek behind the Hudson home.

The list of evidence depicts a blooding scene at the home, where Matos had been living with the Brown family and their son. Investigators said they found a mattress inside the garage, and that the mattress' top was cut off and removed.

They also found the top of a mattress and bloody sheets, bloody cleaning wipes in a trash bag, ammunition cartridges and empty rifle bags. They also listed swabs taken off suspected blood in a bedroom and a stairwell.

Authorities say Megan Brown and her father, Gregory, died of gunshot wounds. Nicholas Leonard was killed by blunt force trauma, and Megan's mother, Margaret, had suffered head trauma before she was asphyxiated.  Detectives also say Margaret Brown's hands were tied.

Detectives listed a sledgehammer and a shovel as items they collected at the house, along with zip-ties.

Matos is accused of being at the house for days after the murder, buying a shovel and ordering pizza with one of the victim's credit cards. A neighbor also allegedly saw Matos hosing out the garage.

During the search, detectives said they found Papa John's pizza boxes, the Browns' check cards in the trash, and apparent blood on a hose. A label from a shovel that deputies say Matos bought with one of the victim's credit cards was found buried by the house.

The search warrant return also shows investigators collected evidence from several vehicles at the home. They said all of the seats had been removed from a Dodge Caravan.

The boy is now with other family members.

Matos remains in jail in Pasco County without bail.
