When will all the rain end? When will it finally feel like Fall? Those are the two most common questions I receive this time of year.

And the answer to the questions tend to go hand in hand.

In other words, the first cold front of the season usually arrives in October, and when it does it brings a blast of drier, cooler air that brings the rainy season to a grinding halt.

That doesn’t mean we don’t get any rain the rest of fall…it just means that our daily thunderstorms go away and instead we return to mainly dry conditions with an occasional rain chance.

The first cold front this season will arrive Saturday. There will be some showers along the front, likely early in the day, then drier air will come rushing in Saturday afternoon/evening.

Sunday morning…you will notice a huge difference in the way it feels outside. It will be that smell of “fall” that so many of us enjoy and look forward to every year at this time.

The humidity will be markedly lower, the skies will be clear, and morning temperatures will dip into the 60s and 50s for the first time this season.

It will still get warm that afternoon with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s, but with the humidity staying low it will be a “pleasant” warmth.
