Pasco County Public Transportation has made a bus route change to help college students.

Effective immediately, the Route 54 schedule will will include service to Pasco Hernando State College Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch. Buses to the campus will run every two hours from 8:07 a.m. through 6:07 p.m. Students are eligible for discount fares and passes with a valid PCPT reduced fare photo ID card.

A bus stop with shelter is located on the north side of the main facility, next to the parking garage.

“This is a wonderful addition to the Pasco County Public Transportation system,” said Mike Carroll, Pasco County Public Transportation director. “I encourage students who use the campus to consider using the bus service as their main way to commute to school. Students able to catch the bus will save money on gas and transportation costs.”

Cross County Route 54 also makes stops at the Shops at Wiregrass, The Grove at Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills and Trinity Community Hospital.
