People from across the globe head to Hollywood every year to try and break into the movie business.

But a Citrus County high school student just broke into the business without ever leaving his hometown.

A senior art student at Lecanto High, Christian Miranda-Bouley has been drawing since childhood. Now, his imagination and artistic talent have grabbed the attention of a Hollywood director.

"I never expected to have Hollywood come to me instead of me going to Hollywood," Miranda-Bouley said. "Who really gets this opportunity at my age to do something like this?"

Miranda-Bouley has been asked to design a movie poster for a Hollywood film currently in production.

A professional artist who has worked on films like Star Wars and Avatar saw some examples of Miranda-Bouley's work and sought out the young artist. That led to interest from the film's director.

"I was speechless when I got this email saying, 'Do you want to do a movie poster for me?' " Miranda-Bouley said.

The size of the opportunity is not lost on Miranda-Bouley, or his art teacher.

"Now he (Miranda-Bouley) can take this stepping stone and he can move forward with it," said Lecanto High art teacher William Rubar, adding that the opportunity can open a lot of doors.

Miranda-Bouley has already started working on the poster, which is for the movie Hollywood and Vine. It's slated for release for later this year.

"I never thought I would make it this far this early," Miranda-Bouley said.
