Every month Cash Mob of West Pasco County mobs a small business with cash to help bring attention to local businesses.

"Not everybody even knows they are there," said Debbie Dawson of cash Mob of West Pasco County. "Just because you own a business it doesn't mean your doors are going to flood open.”

Debbie Dawson started inviting other small business owners and people from the community to join the mob two years ago. They’ve since mobbed 29 small businesses.

“Our small businesses are the heartbeat of the community, and they are the ones that really support our community and give back," said Dawson.

On Saturday, Cash Mob surprised the owner of Lovely Ladies Resale Shop, who opened five months ago.

Despite doing good business, she says she needed Cash Mob since nearby road construction has had some effects on her business.

"It's hard to get in and out of here -- there is a lot of dust," said owner Jacquie Shupe.

The mob helped her make $300 in just half an hour.

"That's a lot in a half an hour," said Shupe.

She typically makes $100 a day and next month, she plans to return the favor to another small business.
