A Tampa man has been charged in a hit-and-run that left another man dead earlier this week.
Gregory A. Moore, 53, is facing charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving death.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Nicholas Carson Southerland, 67, was crossing Orient Road shortly after 10 p.m. when he was hit by a white pickup truck
Southerland died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the crash.
On Wednesday, deputies said Moore was arrested in connection with the hit-and-run. They say he admitted to being the driver of the vehicle at the time of the crash.
