Citrus County sheriff's deputies have arrested a Louisiana man they say downloaded child pornography to his cell phone.

Kevin Wayne Broussard, 22, of Abbeville, La., was charged Wednesday with five counts of possession of child pornography and booked in the Citrus County Jail.

Deputies began investigating Oct. 12 after several people reported seeing Broussard with child pornography, the sheriff's office said. The deputies say Broussard admitted to downloading the images, but that he deleted them before deputies arrived.

Broussard's phone was confiscated by a detective, and after a search warrant was obtained, the deleted images were recovered, according to the sheriff's office. The detective says he recovered videos and images depicting prepubescent girls engaged in various sexual acts with adult men or other prepubescent children.

Broussard was arrested Wednesday at his place of employment. His bond was set at $10,000.
