Deputies are looking for a man they say fired four shots at a car with a woman and a girl inside Thursday.

The shooting happened at 1:50 p.m. at the intersection of 52nd Avenue N and Haines Road in St. Petersburg.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, the 30-year-old woman had stopped her vehicle at the stop sign on Haines Road when the suspect vehicle pulled up behind her, then next to her on the driver's side. Her 7-year-old daughter was with her at the time.

Deputies say the suspect, who was in the passenger seat, then fired four shots at the victim's car.

At least one shot shattered the driver's side window, and the broken glass cut the woman's arm, deputies said.

The woman drove herself to Angelo's Mini Mart, where someone called 911. She received treatment on scene for the minor cuts on her arm.

Deputies describe the suspect as a black man in his 20s and the suspect vehicle as a newer silver sedan. They say they do not have a motive in the shooting.

The investigation continues.
