Kiley Griggs has come a long way since we first met her several years ago.

The 7-year-old has cerebral palsy, but thanks to countless hours of physical therapy, she is becoming more and more independent.

“She's growing and progressing so well and it's all due to her therapy,” said her father, Jason Griggs. “And people helping her and helping us."

Those people include the volunteers at Kiddy Up Ranch in New Port Richey, where equine therapy has helped Kiley grow stronger.

Now Kiley can hold her head up on her own. Sessions with a TheraSuit have also helped, increasing mobility in both Kiley’s arms and fingers.

Now, she can pull a book off the shelf or pour a glass of water on her own.

We stopped by the family’s home on Thanksgiving to find out what they’re thankful for this year.

“I’m thankful for my wheelchair,” Kiley said.

And Kiley’s parents said they’re thankful for Kiley’s unbreakable spirit.

"I think she's really, truly made me thankful for what's important,” said Jason Griggs. “Love, family and friends."

"We're happier people because of Kiley,” said Kiley’s mother, Lori Griggs.
