Zephyrhills officials are reviewing the changes they made to new sign ordinances a few months ago.

The review comes after a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling and complaints from several businesses.

In June, the Supreme Court found that a city in Arizona violated a church's First Amendment rights. The court's ruling prohibits setting standards for signs based on content.

Some Zephyrhills businesses want electronic signs but are located in districts that don't allow them. The local ordinance doesn't allow for exceptions.

The City Council is examining the ordinance to make sure it is in accord with the Supreme Court's ruling.
