Tropical Storm Kate has strengthened slightly, but it still is not expected to impact land.

Hurricane hunter aircraft from MacDill AFB went out and found that Kate was a little stronger tonight.  The good news is that it has no impact to any land.  The strongest winds are well east of the Bahamas.

As expected, Kate has started its turn to the north.  It has a small window over warm water that it could briefly become a hurricane Tuesday morning.

Even if it does become a hurricane, the outcome will not change. The storm will move to the northeast away from the U.S. and have no impact to any land.
