The Citrus County Sheriff's Office has posted a brief online survey asking residents to rate the agency's performance on public safety.

Additionally, sheriff's office personnel will survey citizens directly at various sites and volunteers will be calling some households.

Among the topics the agency is seeking feedback on:

  • The competence of Sheriff’s Office employees agency-wide;
  • The attitude and conduct displayed by agency personnel when dealing with members of the community;
  • The degree of safety and security that citizens experience within their community;
  • Any suggestions or recommendations on how the sheriff’s office can improve the way it provides both law enforcement, emergency communications and fire rescue services.

To take the survey, visit the sheriff’s office website at www.sheriffcitrus.org.  Click on the “Citizen’s Survey” link at bottom of the home page and print out a hard copy of the three-page document.

Completed surveys may be emailed to mkanter@sheriffcitrus.org  or sent via mail to: Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Professional Standards Division, Attn: Lt. Mike Kanter, 1 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Inverness, FL 34450.

There is no obligation to participate in the survey.
