Detectives are investigating an early morning homicide that occurred behind a Riverview Winn-Dixie store.
The victim called the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office around 3 a.m. and said he had suffered upper-body trauma and needed help. Deputies responded to 9802 U.S. 301 S and found the man behind the Winn Dixie store. He died from his injuries, deputies said.
Detectives believe the man, whose identity has been withheld, was homeless and lived behind the store.
