Bartow commissioners will consider three options Monday night for repairing a failing wastewater pipe beneath Wabash Street.

According to The Ledger of Lakeland, City Manager George Long is recommending the least expensive of the options, matching the opinion of a consultant.

That option calls for replacing the pipe in some areas and rehabilitating it others. It would cost about $1.85 million.

The 24-inch pipe has been in the ground for nearly 40 years.
