The Tampa man accused of accused of breaking into a boy's bedroom and molesting him was denied bond Monday in a Hillsborough County courtroom.

Ernest Johnson was charged with lewd and lascivious molestation, burglary of an occupied dwelling and possession of burglary tools.

According to police, Johnson, 25, was found in bed with a 10-year-old boy in the area of north 22nd Street and east Rampart Street. The boy's mother found Johnson in her son's bedroom at 4:30 a.m. Sunday after going to check on the boy, police said.

"I turned his light for his room, I see that face,” said the boy’s mother. “He was laying in the bed. Like normal, like it was his bed.”

We aren't revealing her identity because her son was a victim of a sex crime.

The boy's mother told police Johnson jumped out of the window when she opened the door.

Officers, using a K-9, were able to track Johnson down.

Based on the preliminary investigation, Johnson does not appear to be registered in the state sexual offender/predator database.
