The first pitch for Opening Day is still more than a month away but the Tampa Bay Rays have released their Special Events calender for the season.

The team will host its always popular "Senior Prom for Senior Citizens" on April 26. Also, fans can take their pooch to a ball game on "Dog Day at the Rays" the same day.

"Father-Daughter Day" is June 14 while other special events include nurses appreciation, Itailian heritage night, a salute to veterans and Star Wars night.

The Rays open Spring Training Thursday in Port Charlotte against Baltimore. The regular season starts April 6 at Tropicana Field against the Orioles.
