A fundraiser was held Wednesday night to help the family of the brothers who died in last week's shooting.

More than 100 people took part in a fundraiser for the Campochiaro family at Spin Nations Skating Center in Port Richey. Event organizer Courtney Deltufo said she doesn't know Helen Campochiaro personally but was touched by her story.

Deputies said one of Campochiaro's sons, 12-year-old Kevin Pimentel, shot and killed his 6-year-old brother, Brady, and injured his 16-year-old brother Trevor before killing himself.

Deltufo said its something no mother should have to endure.

The skating rink is donating part of the proceeds from admission to the family. Food vendors also took part.

Barbara Grasso said she met Campochiaro when her cousin worked with her.

"My heart just breaks," said Grasso, who donated cupcakes to sell at the fundraiser. "I don't know what else to say. She's an amazing mom. She lives for her kids and this is just a tragic accident."

For the kids, the night was about remembering their friends Kevin and Brady.

"The first time that I heard about it, it made me cry a little bit but I got over it," said 7-year-old Mikayla Buck, who went to the same school as Brady. "I guess I'm happy since he's up somewhere better."

While skaters said the event was a lot of fun, they sensed it was about something more.

"It makes me feel better because I know lots and lots of people care about this," said Dante Nazario, who went to school with Kevin.

Organizers said the fundraiser made about $600.

Friends of the family say they don't want to return to their house after what happened.

People are working on several fundraisers to help them. Friends say the family needs money, but also donations like furniture, clothes and household supplies to start over in a new home.
