Mayor Bob Buckhorn has been sworn into office for his second and final term.

More than 1,000 people attended his swearing-in ceremony at the Tampa Convention Center Wednesday.

After taking the oath of office, Buckhorn addressed the city.

"Four years later, look at what we've done together," Buckhorn said. "We are stronger. We are safer. Our potential is greater than ever before. Crime is down. Hope is up."

Tampa City Council members also took the oath of office. The newest member of Guido Maniscalco, who represents the sixth district.

Afterwards, city council members held a meeting to pick their next chairperson. Frank Reddick was selected to elad the council for the next four years.
