Taylor Urruela needs your votes to become Men's Health Magazine's Ultimate Guy.

Urruela is not too proud to say he is the ultimate guy. And not just because of his athletic abilities. Flipping a 300 pound tire is nothing compared to the challenges he has faced.

The retired Army Sergeant lost his leg in Iraq.

"October 22, 2006, I was riding in a Humvee," recalled Urruela. "We were two days from going home. Just all joking around, talking about our plans coming up for leave, then boom it went off. We got hit by two IEDs, knocked out, knocked unconscious, woke up and just chaos in the Humvee."

His road to recovery hasn't been easy - physically nor mentally. The depression of having to leave his military family became even worse than losing a limb.

"It's like a dark cloud that hangs over you," Urruela said. "You wake up and you just have no idea where you're going to go, what you're going to do."

But Urruela ultimately found his passion, helping others. He trains clients at Tampa Sports Academy and has co-founded the non-profit VetSports.

"More than anything my message would be to just keep fighting," Urruela said.

He wants to share that message as Men's Health Magazine's ultimate guy. It's why he applied to the contest. Those who know Urruela said he is the ultimate choice.

"He's just an impressive human being across the board," said his friend and boss, Steve Harrison.

To win the first part of the contest, Urruela has to get the most votes on Men's Health Magazine's website. He is currently in second place.
