The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting on Interstate 4 in Seffner.

According to officials, a 911 call received at 12:15 a.m. reported that a vehicle pulled alongside another vehicle on I-4 near U.S. Highway 92 and someone inside fired multiple gunshots.

A man and a woman in the the targeted car were both shot. Another man was not injured. Police said Antonio Diaz, 24, and Antani Lise, 27, suffered non life-threatening injuries and were taken to an area hospital. Kareem Spann, 20, was in the backseat and was not injured.

The gunman's vehicle, which has only been described as a white sedan, drove off and has not been located. A search is ongoing.

Officials said while the motive in the shooting is unknown this incident does not appear to be random.

The eastbound lanes of I-4 at the shooting scene were briefly closed during the investigation.
